Legacy Metrics Explained


A list of the various metrics tracked by the Legacy Metrics tool, along with explanations of what exactly each one is measuring.

This feature has been replaced by Uberflip Analytics, and is now considered a legacy feature. Legacy features are no longer supported, but still remain available to some users.

The feature formerly called Hub Metrics is now officially known as Legacy Metrics. This feature is no longer shown on new Uberflip accounts created in or after June 2020.

Legacy Metrics divides metrics into Hub-specific and Flipbook-specific, so these metrics are listed separately below.

 

Hub Metrics Definitions

All metrics are relative to the specified selection of Hubs/Streams, for the selected reporting period.

Average Time per Visit

The average time, in minutes/seconds, visitors spent per session. To calculate total visit time, page views lasting less than 1 second or over 30 minutes are ignored.

CTA Conversions

The CTA Conversion Rate (CR%) is a calculation of the total number of CTA button clicks or form submissions divided by the total number of CTA Impressions. The overall CTA Conversions figure represents the value over the entire reporting period, which may differ from the sum of data points shown on graphs and in the CSV export.

CTA Impressions

The total number of CTA impressions, defined as page views of pages with one or more CTAs.

Pages per Visit

The average number of pages viewed per visit.

Page Views

The total number of individual content pages viewed. Page views lasting less than 1 second or over 60 minutes are ignored.

Social Shares

The total number of times content was shared using the social sharing options (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, etc.)

Unique Visitors

The total number of visitors identified as unique, using a browser cookie.

Visits

The total number of started sessions. If a visitor is inactive for a 30-minute period and then becomes active again, this is logged as a new visit. If a calendar day turns over and a user is still active, this is also counted as a new visit.

 

Flipbooks Metrics Definitions

All metrics are relative to the specified selection of Folders/Flipbooks, for the selected reporting period.

Average Time per Page

The average time, in minutes/seconds, visitors spent viewing an individual Flipbook page. Page views lasting less than 1 second or longer than 60 minutes are ignored.

Bookmarks Added/Bookmarks Deleted

The total number of Flipbook pages bookmarked, and the total number of bookmarks removed, using the Annotations Widget. See which specific pages were bookmarked most often using the Per-Page Report.

Crops Printed/Crops Saved

The total number of user-created crops printed or saved by visitors.

Flipbook Views

The total number of views of individual Flipbooks.

Links Clicked

The total number of links clicked in Flipbooks.

Notes Added/Modified/Deleted

The total number of notes added, modified, or deleted using the Annotations Widget.

Page Views

The total number of individual Flipbook pages viewed. Includes repeat views, i.e. multiple views of the same page by the same user. Page views lasting less than 1 second or longer than 60 minutes are ignored.

Page Widget Interactions

The total number of clicks/touches on the Page Widget in the Flipbook viewer. Only one interaction (click/touch) per Page Widget per Flipbook reading session is counted.

Pages Downloaded

The total number of individual Flipbook pages downloaded. See which specific pages were downloaded most often using the Per-Page Report.

Pages Printed

The total number of individual Flipbook pages printed. See which specific pages were printed most often using the Per-Page Report.

PDFs Downloaded

The total number of full Flipbooks downloaded as a PDF.

Social Shares

The total number of times Flipbook content was shared using the social sharing options (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, etc.). Use the Performance Report to view the specific social platforms that were shared to.

Text Mode Page Views

The total number of times the plain text versions of individual Flipbook pages were viewed (on mobile devices).

Search Queries

The total number of search queries submitted. See the actual search queries using the Performance Report.

Unique Page Views

The total number of unique individual Flipbook pages viewed. Defined as only first-time views of any given page by a unique visitor. Subsequent/repeated views of a page within the same session, and page views lasting less than 1 second or longer than 60 minutes, are ignored.

Unique Visitors

The total number of visitors identified as unique, using a browser cookie.

Zooms

The total number of times visitors zoomed in on Flipbook pages. See the specific areas where visitors zoomed in with the Page Heat Map Report.
