How do I animate my CTAs?

I've noticed that some Hubs (such as Uberflip's Resource Hub) have CTAs where the background image is animated. How can I use animated CTAs on my own Hub?

 

Answer

Creating a CTA which is "animated" is actually pretty simple: you just set an animated GIF to be the background image for the CTA. The animated GIF then plays in a loop wherever the CTA is displayed.

What makes this a little trickier is that you can't upload an animated GIF as the background image within the CTA Editor. Instead, you need to upload the GIF using the Image Manager, then use some custom code to add the GIF to the CTA as the background image. For instructions on how to do this, see this article.
