Objective
Learn how to use UFA's download and send functionality to share your analytics data outside of the UFA interface, for example with other stakeholders in your organization. In UFA, you can:
- Download full dashboards and reports in PDF or CSV format
- Send dashboard data to various destinations on demand or on a schedule
Access download and send options for a dashboard or report
To download or send data, open the download options menu.
- On any dashboard or report, click on the gear button in the top right corner:
- This will open the download options menu, from which you can choose what kind of download you want. Note that the options available will differ depending on whether you opened the menu on a dashboard or on a report.
Download a dashboard as a PDF
You can download snapshots of full dashboards in PDF format.
- Open the download options menu on the dashboard you want to download and click on Download as PDF...:
- The Download menu will appear, where you can choose options for your PDF download:
- A filename will be prefilled for you. If needed, you can change this to rename the resulting file.
- Optional: Click on Advanced options to further configure the download. The available options are:
- Single column format: Arranges dashboard widgets in a stacked column in the PDF, rather than as they are arranged in Uberflip Analytics.
- Expand tables: Ensures all rows in any table widgets are visible in the PDF.
- Paper size: Choose a paper format size that the PDF file will be sized to.
- When you have finished configuring, click on either Open in Browser or Download to start your download.
Download dashboard visualization data as CSV files
You can download the data shown in each visualization on a dashboard as separate CSV files (one per visualization). The download is delivered as a compressed (ZIP) file containing all of the individual CSV files.
- Open the download options menu on the dashboard you want to download and click on Download as CSVs:
- The download will begin immediately. After it finishes, simply unzip the downloaded file to access the CSV files inside.
Download report data
Similarly to dashboards, you can also download the data from UFA reports.
- Open the download options menu on the report you want to download and click on Download...:
- The Download menu will appear, where you can choose options for your download:

Send dashboard or report data to an external destination
UFA can deliver the data from a dashboard or report to a variety of destinations, including email, Amazon S3, SFTP servers, etc. You can do this either on demand, or automatically on a predefined schedule.
To access these options, click on Send or Schedule in the download options menu:
- The Send function allows you to set up a one-time data delivery
- The Schedule function allows you to configure an automated data delivery that repeats at intervals of your choice
For detailed instructions on how to use these functions and configure their various options, see these articles from Looker (the platform that powers UFA):
