What it is

Time on Page is a calculation of the time spent viewing different content or pages in Uberflip.  

This metric is tracked in 2 second intervals and only registers when the page is actively being viewed.

Value

Understand how long a visitor has been viewing a single piece of content or the average time multiple visitors have been viewing content. 

Google Analytics Equivalent Google utilizes timestamps to calculate time on page.  This means that they can't give you the time spent in a single page view session or the last page in a session.


Avg. Time on Page

Data Type: Calculated

Description:  The average length users actively viewing a page in "mm:ss" format but exported as just "ss" format to allow for easy calculations.  

 

Avg. Session Duration (Formatted)

Data Type: Calculated

Description: The average length users actively viewing a page in"mm:ss" and exported as the same "mm:ss" so it cannot be used for calculations. 

 

Count Sessions

Data Type: Count

Description:  The total number of sessions. A session is a viewing period by a visitor that uses the same short-lived cookie (1-hour).  


Items Per Session

Data Type: Calculated

Description:  This is an average of the number of Items page views duration a session.  This is a very important KPI for differentiating what were navigation pages versus content pages.  Items are not distinct so a refresh of a page will count as another item view.

 

 

Pages Per Session

Data Type: Calculated

Description:  This is an average of the number of URLs a user views during a session.  Pages are not counted as distinct so refreshing a page will count as another page view.
