Learn all about Digital Sales Rooms (DSRs): what they are, how they work, and how you can use them in Uberflip.

What are Digital Sales Rooms (DSRs)?

As with Marketing Streams in your Hub, a DSR is a collection of your content items, presented as an attractive content experience. But unlike Streams, which are typically intended for fairly wide audiences, Sales Streams are hyper-focused: they are created and personalized for a very specific audience, in many cases just a single person.

As the name suggests, DSRs are primarily intended to be used by your sales team. By giving them access to your content library, along with a fast and convenient way to share that content with their leads and prospects, DSRs enable your sales team to sell more effectively by fostering conversations at all stages of the buyer journey.

How do DSRs work?

Creation

You can create DSRs just like a Stream, from the Content section of the Uberflip app.  You can also copy a Marketing Stream as the base for a new DSR.

Tip

The best way to create DSRs and do sales engagement is with Sales Assist. Check out the Sales Assist guides to learn more.

To create and share DSRs in Uberflip, your users must have their own user account within your Uberflip account, and must be assigned to the Sales Reps user group (or otherwise be manually given the relevant permissions). You can assign as many users to the Sales Reps user group as you have purchased Sales seats (licenses). In addition, Admins and Content Managers can also create DSRs.

Creating a DSR does not count towards your number of Marketing Streams, and your Sales Reps can create unlimited Sales Streams.

Note

Existing DSRs can only be viewed by the Sales Rep who created them, and the Primary User on the Uberflip account. When viewing a list of Streams, any type of user except the Primary User will only see DSRs that they have created themselves (if any).

For detailed instructions on creating and using DSRs, see below.

Appearance

Like Marketing Streams, DSRs consist of a homepage with a title, an optional description, and at least one Item tile.

You can also go beyond this default appearance, and further personalize a DSR by enhancing it with a customizable banner (and even the prospect organization's logo).

Behavior

Because DSRs are designed to privately share content with a small audience of known individuals, they are:

  • Hidden: Sales Streams are only accessible through a direct link, and can't be found or viewed by regular visitors to your Hub
  • Isolated from your main Hub: Items within Sales Streams do not link to their original Source Streams

As a result, clicking on any Item within a DSR will open the content on a new page which is still within the DSR, and there are no links out to the larger Hub (only to other content Items within the same DSR). This ensures that your target leads/prospects with whom you share the DSR are kept within the experience that you have specifically curated for them.
