Learn how you can personalize the design of your Marketing and Sales Streams to create highly customized content experiences.
Before You Begin
- To personalize Marketing Streams, you need to be an Account Admin or Content Manager.
- Additionally, Sales Reps can manage Sales Streams as long as they have been given the Edit Stream Appearance permission.
About Personalizing Streams
In Uberflip, you can quickly and easily customize the appearance of a Marketing or Sales Stream. This allows you to personalize Streams for particular audiences, which is incredibly useful for ABM and sales enablement:
In this article we will look at the various ways you can personalize a Marketing or Sales Stream to tailor it to your audience.
Access Stream Appearance Options
You personalize a Stream using that Stream's Appearance tab. This tab will only appear on Marketing and Sales Streams, not on Source Streams.
- Log in to Uberflip. If you have multiple Hubs, open the one you want to work with.
- In the sidebar menu on the left, click on Content, then find the Stream you want to personalize. Click on it to edit it.
- When viewing the Stream, click on the Appearance tab in the menu at the top:
- By default, you should see only one setting under this tab, under the heading Appearance. Here, use the dropdown to change the selection to Banner+Logo.
- Setting the Banner+Logo option will add a banner to the top of the Stream, and will open up various customization options that you can use to personalize the Stream's appearance.
Banner+Logo Appearance Options
Below, you can find descriptions of what each of the Banner+Logo settings on the Appearance tab do.
COMING SOON! This field doesn't do anything right now, but in the future it will be tied to a feature that allows you to track ABM metrics.
If you want a text title to be displayed in your banner, type it in here. Whatever you enter will be displayed in large letters in the center of your banner:
The color of this title is controlled by the Title Color setting.
This will only affect the title shown in the banner, and won't replace the Stream's default title (which appears below the banner).
Use the color picker to set a solid background color for your banner. By default, this will be set to your brand color (set under Appearance>Branding>Color>Background+Link Color in your Hub). You can set the color using your mouse, or by typing in a HEX, RGB or HSL code.
If you set a Banner Image, this will be overridden by the selected image. However, if you set Banner Opacity to a value less than 100%, the color set here will be visible (to an extent determined by that setting).
Use the color picker to set a color for your Banner Title — ideally, a color that contrasts well with your Banner Color or Banner Image. You can set the color using your mouse, or by typing in a HEX, RGB or HSL code.
If you have not entered anything into the Banner Title field, this color setting will be ignored.
Click on Upload to choose an image stored on your computer to use as the banner for the Stream. Make sure to follow our image size guidelines when choosing your banner images.
Banner Image Opacity
Use the slider (or type directly into the box) to determine how transparent you want the Banner Image to be. Setting this to a number lower than 100% will allow your Banner Color to be visible behind the Banner Image. The specific setting will determine how much of the Banner Color can be seen: a lower percentage will make the Banner Image more transparent, and therefore the Banner Color more visible.
If the Stream is intended for ABM, you can use this setting to place the prospect/target account's logo in the banner. Use the Clearbit integration to search a large database of logos with the Search Clearbit field, or use the Upload button to upload a custom logo.
This setting works together with the Company Logo and Glyphicon settings, so setting a Prospect Logo will automatically use those settings as well. These will be combined, with the Company Logo on the left, the Prospect Logo on the right, and the Glyphicon between them. The resulting combination will be centered on the banner, and placed above the Banner Title (if set):
Note that the Prospect Logo setting controls whether the Company Logo and Glyphicon are displayed: if you do not set a Prospect Logo, both of those settings will be ignored.
This setting works together with the Prospect Logo setting (and the Glyphicon setting), and you use it the same way. If you do not set a Company Logo, your Hub's favicon will be used instead (as set under Appearance>Branding>Images>Favicon Image). If you set a Company Logo but no Prospect Logo, this setting will be ignored.
This setting works together with the Prospect Logo and Company Logo settings, and will appear between them in your banner. Use the dropdown menu to select between five different Glyphicons (symbols). If you do not set a Prospect Logo, this setting will be ignored.
