Learn about Uberflip's GDPR-specific features that make it easier for you to stay in compliance with this important data privacy regulation.

GDPR and Uberflip Hubs

As a marketer, you probably already know all about the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on 25 May 2018. The GDPR introduced numerous requirements for how companies can collect and handle the personal data of EU citizens, and failing to comply can be very costly.

Since your Uberflip Hub is one of the ways you collect the kind of customer data covered by the GDPR, it's important that you set it up in a way that is GDPR-compliant. If that sounds like it might be complicated, don't worry: we've built a number of GPDR features into Uberflip to help make it easier for you to stay compliant with the regulation.

Uberflip GDPR Features

Below, you'll find an overview of the various GDPR features in Uberflip, and how they can help you meet GDPR requirements. Click on the link under each one to learn more about the feature, and how to implement it in your Hub.

Conditional CTA Fields & Label Only Field Type

With Conditional CTA Fields, you can selectively display different fields to different users on a Call-to-Action. This allows you to make your CTAs GDPR-compliant by displaying required fields (like opt-ins) and privacy policy language to EU citizens.

Using the Label Only Field Type, you can display a text box inside your CTA — perfect for displaying the privacy policy language required by the GDPR (or linking to it).

Hub Privacy Banner, Privacy Policy Page, and Privacy Groups

GDPR requires that you notify Hub visitors of cookies and tracking scripts, explain how their data will be used, and give them the ability to opt-in or opt-out at any time. Do all this using the Privacy Banner, Privacy Policy Page and Privacy Groups functions.

Custom Code Blocks

Custom Code Blocks give you the ability to separate tracking scrips on your Hub into specific blocks that can be mapped to Privacy Groups, allowing you to comply with visitor permissions as required by GDPR.
