A trailing slash is a forward slash ( / ) placed at the very end of a URL. Example:
URL with trailing slash:
URL without trailing slash:
Whether a URL contains a trailing slash or not is a choice each site creator will make for themselves.
Impact on SEO
Choosing to include or omit a trailing slash won’t affect your SEO much, but changing this convention after your pages have already been indexed could. For this reason, we suggest setting this once when your account is set up, and avoiding further changes if possible.
In Uberflip, you can choose when or if the URLs generated by Uberflip should use a trailing slash. This setting can be changed for each Hub in your account. But because it can impact your SEO, we have restricted changing this setting to Uberflip employees only.
You must contact Uberflip Support to discuss your options and have this setting changed.
Trailing slash options in Uberflip
Depending on the URL conventions your company has in place, you may want to add a trailing slash at the end of the URLs generated by Uberflip, or you may not. With Uberflip, you have three options for trailing slashes:
No trailing slash will ever be added to any URL
Every URL generated in Uberflip will include a trailing slash
- Yes, except Item page URLs:
All Hub, Stream, and landing page URLs will include a trailing slash, but Item pages (which don’t lead to further pages or URL paths) will not include a trailing slash
While you can see your current trailing slash setting in Uberflip, you can not change this yourself. You must contact Uberflip Support to discuss your options and have this setting changed.
